Hardware System Architect (Hardware & Electronics JB-6394)
A Tel Aviv–based deep-tech company developing a complex multidisciplinary product in the field of advanced sensing and robotic systems is looking for an experienced Hardware System Architect to define and lead the hardware architecture of its core platform. This role owns the end-to-end hardware system architecture, from high-level design and technology selection through detailed design, integration, and validation. The position requires strong system-level thinking, deep understanding of hardware constraints, and close collaboration with system, embedded, software, and mechanical teams. Full-time position, on-site only, Tel Aviv. ________________________________________ Responsibilities Define and own the hardware system architecture of a complex sensing-based multidisciplinary system Translate system and product requirements into HW architecture, block diagrams, interfaces, and specifications Lead architecture trade-offs across performance, power, cost, reliability, and manufacturability Define and manage HW interfaces between electronics, embedded, sensors, power, and mechanical subsystems Guide HW design reviews and support board bring-up, integration, and system-level debugging Work closely with System, Embedded, Software, and Mechanical teams to ensure architectural alignment Identify system-level risks, limitations, and failure modes, and drive mitigation plans Support validation, environmental testing, and production readiness activities
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or Electro-Optics 8+ years of experience in complex hardware system design and architecture Proven experience as a HW System Architect or Lead HW Engineer on multidisciplinary products Strong background in mixed-signal design, power systems, high-speed interfaces, and embedded hardware Solid understanding of HW/SW and HW/Embedded system boundaries Hands-on experience with bring-up, integration, and root-cause analysis Experience with advanced sensing, optical systems, or robotics – strong advantage Ability to drive technical decisions across teams without formal authority
