We’re building a multi-tier autonomous systems platform on NVIDIA Jetson edge devices. We’re looking for a kernel-savvy engineer to own the lowest layers of the stack — from board bringup through hardened, high-throughput data paths. What you’ll do Bring up new hardware platforms: bootloader, device tree, kernel configuration, drivers, BSP integration Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules and drivers for custom hardware (sensors, FPGAs, accelerators) Build and harden the platform: secure boot, kernel hardening, attack surface reduction, CIS/STIG alignment Design and implement high-throughput video and data streaming pipelines (DMA, zero-copy, GPU/FPGA offload) Write C++ user-space services that interact tightly with the kernel and hardware Drive FPGA ↔ host integration: PCIe/AXI interfaces, DMA engines, custom protocols, debugging across the boundary
Required 5+ years of Linux systems / embedded software experience Strong Linux kernel internals: drivers, scheduling, memory, interrupts, DMA Hands-on board bringup experience on ARM64 platforms Modern C++ (C++17/20) in performance-sensitive user-space code FPGA integration experience — PCIe, AXI, or similar high-speed interfaces Experience with high-bandwidth video or sensor data pipelines Nice to have NVIDIA Jetson (Orin / Thor): JetPack, L4T, Yocto, CUDA, multimedia stack Security hardening: secure boot, TPM, OP-TEE, TrustZone, FIPS, SELinux/AppArmor Real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT), time synchronization (PTP, GPS/PPS) Defense or safety-critical software background
