FPGA Team Lead (Zynq) (Hardware & Electronics JB-6408)

A deep-tech defense startup is building advanced real-time sensing systems operating under strict latency and throughput constraints. We are looking for a hands-on FPGA Team Leader to lead development of high-performance FPGA-based data pipelines, combining technical leadership with active involvement in design and system-level work. This role is ideal for a strong FPGA engineer who has grown into leadership but still enjoys working close to the hardware, architecture, and real system challenges. Responsibilities Lead a team of FPGA engineers, including technical guidance, mentoring, and task ownership Take ownership of FPGA development and architecture for real-time data pipelines (sensor → processing → output) Design and optimize high-throughput, low-latency streaming architectures Work with Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC (PS + PL) including HW/SW integration Define and integrate interfaces between FPGA, ARM, sensors, and external components Ensure deterministic performance, latency optimization, and efficient resource utilization Stay hands-on with design, bring-up, debugging, and system-level validation Collaborate closely with system, hardware, embedded, and algorithm teams

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Physics / Electronics 5–10 years of hands-on FPGA development Experience in a technical leadership / team lead role (formal or informal) Strong experience with Xilinx Zynq / Zynq UltraScale+ (must) Deep expertise in RTL design (VHDL / Verilog) Proven experience building real-time data pipelines / streaming systems Solid understanding of DSP / signal processing Experience with AXI, DDR, and high-speed interfaces Hands-on experience with system bring-up, debugging, and HW/SW integration Nice to have Experience with PCIe / Ethernet / JESD204 or similar high-speed interfaces Background in sensing / radar / electro-optical systems Experience in defense or regulated environments
